Work In Progress
25 Jun 2014
There are a few things that are important to remind yourself daily. One of them is the following:
“Everyone and everything around you is your teacher.” ― Ken Keyes Jr.
No matter how good you are, no matter how successful you may be, there are people around you that can do something better than you. (If that is not the case then you should find a new environment, quick).
From my experience, the most successful people are those who consistently learn from those around them. Pick up good traits. Learn better techniques. Remain open minded.
Being open to different methods and testing them in your own work may gain results you were not expecting. Remaining open minded and aware of the techniques and habits of those around me has been the most fruitful method I have found to improve myself. But in order to harness the lessons from those around you, you must first look at yourself.
Having the humility to remind yourself you are not the complete article is the first step to the wealth of learning from those around you.
Remember, you are a work in progress, always.
